26 Nov Thanksgiving, AI, and staying relevant in 2026
by Kalika Yap
I hope this Thanksgiving week brings you a bit of rest, reflection, and time with people you love.
As we sit just a few weeks away from 2026, I keep hearing the same two feelings from entrepreneurs:
“I’m grateful for how far I have come.”
“I’m worried I might fall behind, especially with AI.”
Both can be true at the same time.
You can be thankful for the clients you serve, the team you lead, the family you care for and still feel a quiet concern about staying relevant as tools shift and AI becomes part of daily life.
I feel a deep responsibility here, because I have had the time and resources to study this at a high level and test it inside real businesses.
This year, I spent a week at Stanford Graduate School of Business in the Digital Transformation in the Age of AI program. The tuition was $16K, and my intention was clear:
Learn at a high level, then bring simple, real world help back to entrepreneurs.
My long term mission is to empower 1 million entrepreneurs to grow strong companies and create 1 million jobs. AI is now a piece of that mission. Used wisely, it can give you time back, help you stay visible, and keep you relevant without burning you out.
That’s why I created CEO Kalika AI Coaching: AI Brand and Business Bootcamp
a 3-month coaching experience where I help you:
- create your Digital Twin (your AI Brand Boss)
- build a simple AI roadmap for 2026
- use tools even if you feel “not tech savvy”
Before I tell you more about the program, I want to share a simple guide you can use right away.
A step by step guide: Staying relevant with AI in 2026
You do not need to “become an AI expert” to stay relevant. You just need a few focused moves.
Here is a simple path you can follow:
Step 1: Decide what “staying relevant” means for you
Take 5 minutes and write:
- Who do you want to serve in 2026?
- What do you want to be known for?
- Where do your clients find you today? (Email, referrals, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
This gives AI a clear job. You are not using tools just because they are trendy. You are using them to support a real goal.
Step 2: Pick one place where you feel the most pressure
Most entrepreneurs feel squeezed in at least one of these areas:
- Content and social media
- Email and communication
- Admin and repeat tasks
Pick one area where you feel the most strain.
Ask yourself:
“If AI could help me with one thing in my business right now, what would it be?”
That becomes your starting point.
Step 3: Create a simple brand snapshot
Your Digital Twin needs a clear picture of you. Open a document and write:
- 3 short paragraphs in your voice:
- who you are
- who you help
- how you help them
- 5 phrases you say often
- 3 stories you tell a lot (origin story, client win, turning point)
- 3 values that guide the way you run your business
This snapshot becomes the starting “brain” for your Digital Twin.
Step 4: Build your first version of a Digital Twin
In CEO Kalika AI Coaching, we create a detailed Twin together, but you can begin with a simple version.
Your prompt can sound like this (adapt to your language):
“You are my Digital Twin. You write and think like me. Here is how I describe my work, my clients, and my values: [paste your brand snapshot]. Please respond in my tone: clear, warm, honest, and practical.”
Then ask it to:
- draft a social post
- outline an email to your list
- turn a story into bullet points for a talk
You will edit, shape, and refine, but you are no longer starting from scratch.
Step 5: Choose one process to support with AI in December
Before 2026 begins, select one recurring task where you will use AI every week. For example:
- Weekly newsletter outline
- Short social posts drawn from one longer piece
- Email replies to a common client question
- Turning meeting notes into next steps
Use your Digital Twin to help you with that task for the next 3 to 4 weeks. Watch what changes:
- How long it takes
- How you feel about it
- How often you can show up
Step 6: Protect your voice
As AI gets better, your voice, values, and perspective matter even more.
Each time you use AI, ask:
- “Does this still sound like me?”
- “Is this true to what I believe?”
If the answer is “no,” refine your prompt and your brand snapshot. Your Digital Twin should support your integrity, not replace it.
Step 7: Decide what kind of support you need
Some founders love experimenting alone. Others want a guide.
If you feel:
- “I know I need this, but I do not want to figure it out by myself.”
- “I want someone to walk me through the tools and help me apply them to my business.”
Then coaching may be the right path for you.
